how to do a project using java and html?

i want to do project on java(as backend) and html(as front end). so please help me on this, like how to start with and on what topic can i do this project. please suggest me a website which will provide guidance for java and html to program with.

    I would surf to the ABOUT.COM tutorials and begin learning. They have really good beginning tutorials and the EXHTML is free.

    i have included some links to learning JAVA and HTML. i would sugest getting the J2EE Enterprise server to host your JAVA servlets. it is easy to use and configure. Also if you have no programing experiance i would also look into ASP/JSP/PHP as an option pending on your project you are working on just because those are easier to work with and easier to learn. i have include many links to help you decide and also recomend learing css also and javascript for client side scripting and AJAX.
