How do you install music on a MS PowerPoint presentation?

I am building a presentation and would like to install music to play over several slides. I can install music but it does not allow the slide show to play until the music is stopped.

    Go to Insert Menu ->Movies and Sounds-> Sound From file or the option that suits you.

    ok just follow this instructions, press insert button at the menu bar, then press movies and sound, and sound from file...after that don't forget to click the automatically button

    To do this you need to do the following: 1. Put the sound file on the slide you want it to start on. 2. Right click the sound icon and select "Custom Animation" 3. In the window that opens on the left right click the sound file and select "Effect Options" 4. Here you can have the sound "Start playing from the beginning" and also Stop playing "After ## of slides". This will keep the sound playing while the slide presentation continues. You can put any number in here so if you want to change music after a certain number of slides you can do that or simply put in a large enough number to play til the end.
