Need Some Help With Microsoft Word...Please!!?
Ok I work in an insurance office and we send out birthday letters and policy anniversary letters. At the top of every letter is that clients name and address. And the it says dear client (but uses their name, obviously) Well everytime I do a new letter I have to erase the old name and adress and enter the new one. Is there some way or formula to get it to enter it for me or will this always take me FOREVER. Let me know if I need to explain it better! Thank-you!!
OK I got it in the mail merge...whew...but it wont let me save it with the mail merge feilds there. Why?
The mail merge is correct, however you don't need a database, you can use an excel sheet, comma delimited text or other common file types.

if you are creating this list for the first time a word of advice, split everything for example Mr. John Doe Jr. would fit into 4 fields (Salutation, FName, LName, Suffix). It will save you heartache down the road (there is a way to fix this if you have already made say a name field with the whole name, but that's a different question)
Try doing a mail merge document. If you have a database set up already with client's info, you should be able to set up the letter, insert the appropriate command for Name, Address, etc. of a selected list (ie all clients with birthdays in August) and it should print out with all info in place. If you need anymore help, email or im me and I'll help walk you through it.

Yes, it is called mail merge, you can create a generic letter, it fills in the receipents and the salutation, it can do the envelopes too.
What you are looking to do is a mail merge. The option is under Tools->Mail Merge...

There are a lot of options so play around with this in the help.
