    If your just starting programming the beginner series isn't beginner enough... At least not enough for me when I first started trying. I like the wrox series of books, they are very well laid out. Below is a link to the starter C# book that I own and recommend above all others. Hope this helps! Jason p.s. I'm sure wrox also makes a asp book as well (search on amazon) and the quality of all their books are stellar.
