Site doesn't work with firefox and netscape?

2006-08-12 23:01:59, Category: Programming & Design
I have built my site through Front Page 2002 and I used Flash MX 2004 to built the flash contents. The issue is that my site works fine in IE but not with mozilla and netscape browsers? The flash contents seldom appears and the site's hyperlink stays blinky. I checked with the plugins stuff and they seems to be ok with both the browsers. Is the default Front Page DHTML factor effecting the site's performance? Let me know your valuable thoughts/suggestions/solutions on this issue. Thanks in advance

Hi, am not a programmer, nor do i have my own site, so can give you my experience from the other side: someone using Mozilla Firefox. Had some issues where I could not access sites (or sections thereof) because I was not using IE. I found this thing on http://chrispederick.com/work/useragentswitcher/ It allows you to download a switcher that then allows you to choose which browser you want the window to act like. Its great, and have had no problems since! I noticed on one newspaper site www.asianage.com that they have put a line there saying that if you cannot access the site because of an incompatible browser, to go to chris' site and download the switcher. Works great for me. Hope this helps..

I don't know much about your problem, but the internet seems to revolve around IE. Lots of things don't work very well in other browsers but work fine in IE. Who knows. Anyways, good luck!

I hard code all my sites and try to stay away from php. It MAY howver be the way FireFox is set up (I personally do not even bother checking the pages in Netscape, don't know of a single person who uses it) If you have a specific problem, try searching it on Yahoo! The few inconsistancies I have run into between IE and FF have had the answers on there. (Like bottom scroll bar can be removed by deleting the default html identifier one first line in frames)
