Rarely it will boot in Windows. But almost always in DOS. It wants a command to go further and I'm at my wits end. Is there only one command? Are there several?

Computers with windows XP don't ever boot into dos mode, you probably have a dos disk in your 3.5 inch floppy drive.

Windows XP has nice easy way to set this... go into control panel open up system properties (alternatively you can right-click my computer and select properties... go to the "advanced" tab... under the last section "Start up and recovery" click settings... select the os u want it to boot from default... done ... should work sweetly now
