U controller should have at least 2 serial interface 1 PWM at least 64K rom and preferably 2 timers. The Ucontroller should be working arround 25 Mhz max. should have at least 2 timers 1 PWm and 65K rom. 2 serial interfaces. 2 8 bit or 1 16 bit I/O port. ( parallel ) and besides that at leat 8 more I/O lines.

    Microchip is probably your best bet. Not too many 16 bit micro's out there. http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/70166A.pdf
