As others have said, Introduction to computers would be a general course, where you learn how the computer works, with all of its components, and possibly how to turn it on, and use it in a basic way. Introduction to excel would be a general course on Microsoft's Excel program. Excel is a spreadsheet program, with many applications. The course would probably give you a basic understanding of how to use excel for different applications, and may expose you to some advanced features of Excel. The best may be the computer course, as you learn how to use your computer, then go for the excel course, and learn how to use excel. Then if any other courses come along, for instance an intro to word, you can go for these courses, with the knowledge you know the basics of using a computer, etc.

Introduction to computers will most likely be a basic generalized course on the operation of the computer, and possibly the use of some commonly used programs. Introduction to Excel will be specifically about the program Microsoft Excel (a spreadsheet program used in businesses). Hope this helps!

Excel is a specific program - part of the Microsoft Office family of programs. Introduction to computers would be a general overview of the computer and how it works/what it can do. No comparison to the two other than to say that Excel is a program that runs on a computer.

Chumcy. You need to take a refresher course on English language skills first. Without mastering basics of spelling and writing it will be difficult to benefit from any computer studies.
