I am interested in learning to do flash I heard that it is really hard Should I just not try to do it now and take some classes or is it possible to venture out on my own and learn a few things?

    You can learn it on your own. It has the devil's own help system, but there are loads of online tutorials on the web, e.g. at newgrounds.com or just from a Yahoo! search. The hardest option to find is adding sound. It's in File | Import.

    Hey Mocha First of all...I don't know who told you that flash is hard....? Its not hard at all. But its fun as hell. Of course you can learn flash. But first you need to decide if you want to be a flash designer or a developer. If you want to be a designer.. get a grip on thees......... Adobe Photoshop Macromedia Flash/Fireworks/Freehand If you want to be a Developer... which you will be developing dynamic web applications... you need to get familiar with thees Macromedia Cold Fusion Macromedia Communication Server Macromedia Dreamweaver/Flash Also your C++ skills on designing classes In both cases learning flash is not hard at all. When I started learning flash the only resource I had was the help file that came with Flash 2. But I pulled it off. Now you have lot of resources online.
