How do you change a m3u file to a wav file?

2006-08-08 15:09:37, Category: Programming & Design
I am trying to burn a cd from my computer, but the files are saved as m3u files and the cd burner tells me that they will only burn wav files. How do I change them to the correct format? The save window doesn't give me an option of saving as a different format.

You can't. M3U is a a plain text file that contains the locations of one or more media. You need to burn the media that is saved in the list of locations.

Well there is 2 problem here: 1. The M3U file is actualy a PlayList file .....this mean in a M3U file is a list of MP3's (and not only mp3 ) from ur computer .In this case u can convert the M3U file in best case in a TXT/DOC file . 2.U cand burn mp3 files as well as the wav files if....u modify the settings of the burning software. If you wanna know more..... Feel free to contact me on yahoo messenger for more details.

M3U is your playlist file and not the music files that you want to burn. The playlist contains location of the files you want to burn and acts like an index but it's the the music file itself. Most CD Burner Software will burn MP3 and do the WAV conversion by itself but I doubt most CD Burning programs will know what to do with a playlist file.
