because i use phpMyChat 0.14.5 and i read that it crashes not only your site but all the sites on the server too

    Here is a reall simple and free one that our company uses. Very small, runs on php/mysql and we picked it because it supports tons of languages (our site has a lot of international visitors). http://www.reallysimplechat.org/
