spyware or a keylogger? do you think that your dad is trying to monitor where you go on the net? you can go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com and run a full scan on your computer to see if it recognizes any spyware or keyloggers. it does a very good job of finding those kind of annoyances. music match is just an annoyance. it is a legit program, but some computer companies embed it into thier OEM version of the operating system. it's a pain in the butt to get removed, but it can be done.

Their are many different types of spyware. One could be a piece of software, however, another could be a key logger. A keylogger is not always software, but it could be a piece of hardware attached to the back of your PC. It can trace what you have been typing and essentially where you are going. Check the back where your keyboard attaches to your PC.

nearly all good spyware or keyloggers are installed and are completely undetectable - unless you get a anti-spyware program. A good anit-spyware program can usually detect most of the known spyware if any is loaded on your computer. You can try to search for freeware anti-spyware, but I think if you want a thorough antispyware program, you will need to pay for it.

Go to http://www.pcpitstop.com and run their online optimisation scans, which also flags up any spyware on your computer. also try http://www.trendmicro.com/spyware-scan/ http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/promotions/spywarescanner/index.jsp?lang=en&ctry=GB&dc=56pus&lid=uk_home_scan

There are a lot of commercially available spyware programs(both paid and free software) which are user to monitor user activities.Your dad may be using one of these. Some of today's spyware programs are very sophisticated and they can remain hidden from the Add/Remove list.Spyware may have different names and they may be easily hidden or disguised. Most spyware cannot be removed from Add/Remove list and require special anti-spyware software. Some spyware programs may not even have an uninstaller ! I don't think Musicmatch jukebox is spyware.i have used it before and have had no problems uninstalling it.Your uninstaller for the program may be corrupt. You could try scanning your computer with Ad-Aware SE Personal and Ewido anti-malware to remove these programs.Just download the latest updates for these programs before scanning. All the best!

spyware is crafted to be very sneaky, you wouldnt find it without a 3rd party program. Try spybot search and destroy. http://www.spybot.info/ It works well. musicmatch jukebox is not spyware.
