Will upgrading my computer memory with another 512 improve my Sims2 gameplay?

I already have 512 in there and i have a newer computer and a graphics card. I have purchased another 512 memory and should be here on monday. Will this make my game better and not skippy.?

    Memory allows you to multitask better (burn cd, surf internet, and listen to mp3s all at the same time). This may help some. What you should invest in is a gaming video card. I would check the reviews online or magazine on a newer video card that is "good for gaming". A better video card will help utilize less CPU resources so it can do other things. Another video card should take care of the problems you are facing.

    Yes.. RAM upgrades always improve performance.. !! there would be more memory availble for the game to store stuff on.. And Games always run better with more memory available !!

    It might Sims2 is not a demanding game even though it might be but getting it up to 1gb is always better than 512mb
