I just want to insert a fixed background image and can't seem to do it. Is it a code issue, a firefox issue, or what? please check this link and tell me if the code is incorrect.

Your code is fine. Firefox is fine. I tried putting your code into my own html document and it worked great. Then I tried putting it on a myspace profile, and it didn't work. However, images hosted elsewhere (not on Photobucket) seem to work fine on myspace. So my advice would be to use your Yahoo! account to set up some Geocities.com webspace. Upload your cool image to Geocities, and use the image's Geocities URL to add the image to your myspace background. Good luck!

If you want simple, ditch the CSS.
I've found that the easiest way (for me) to learn HTML is to simply look at the page sources of various web sites.
<BODY BACKGROUND="picture.jpg"> does the job for me. Check out one of my web pages below, and take a look at the coding.

The problem should be with the url: http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i293/fonix1979/Fractal-1.jpg); <---Check this link.
http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i293/fonix1979/Fractal-1.jpg <---And check this one.
The difference is the ");" at the end of the links.Change that in your code, then hopefully will work. Enjoy!
