How do you crash the hard drive, when you want to re-load your computer from scratch?

When you forget the password, what do you do to get into boot sequence? When you do reload it there are alot of files in the registry that don't come out. How do you get it all clean? This makes start up and shut down very slow. Thanks!

    Boot the computer with the restore cd that came with it. When you do, a menu will come up with an option to erase and rebuild your computer to brand new state.
