2006-08-05 14:10:21, Category: Programming & Design
(made up of different jpeg's, the edges of each touching and/or overlapping each other) to post on a webpage...which program do I create this in? Photoshop? And how? Obviously I am not a web designer so please post a "layman's answer"! Thanks. Thanks for the great answer! The only thing I can't figure out now is out to make the background transperant? Can you help me there? THANKS!

Hi, Yep, photoshop would be a good choice. Open a blank file that's as big as you need it to be. Now open all your individual photos. On each one, press the following keys - Ctrl + A (this will select the whole image) Ctrl + C (this will copy the image to the clipboard) Then switch back to your blank file and hit Ctrl + V, which will paste the photo in. You will notice that each photo you paste in will be on a different layer. If you don't see your layers pallete, go to Window > Layers (or hit F7) to bring it up. You can move each layer around individually by selecting it in the layers palette and then dragging it with the pointer tool. You can also experiment with different effects by right clicking on any particular layer in the layers palette and going to 'blending options' - this allows you to easily add shadows, glows, outlines etc... to any of your images. That's about it really, pretty simple. Good luck.
