SEO Problem - Ranking Question?

2006-08-05 08:49:39, Category: Programming & Design
I own the website http://www.gotalkmoney.com and I've been having problems with Yahoo!'s search engine. My website ranks great on yahoo.ca for "money forum", it ranks #5 as of today. But, when you search on yahoo.com, you can't find my website anywhere. Would anyone have any clue on why this might be? I'm starting to rank good on Google and MSN but Yahoo! is just giving me troubles and I can't find out why.

did Yahoo! bot crawl your site in the first place? I think Yahoo! bot is called Yahoo! Slurp. sometimes, different search engines have different number of search results and those search results in Yahoo.com is much greater than those in Yahoo.ca. for that reason, it's easier for you to appear high on ranking in Yahoo.ca. another place to check your ranking is dogpile.com. the search results will accumulate and average out your total ranking on all major search engines. it will also show whether you're indexed in other search engines (or not). if you can't see your site in the first few pages, then you have to do more SEO on your site. good luck!
