   I don't think there is any limit to the type of applications you can make. In fact a good idea would be to look at a desktop application and see if you can make a web based one using ASP.NET. A really interesting example of this is google spreadsheets which is a fully functional spreadsheet application like Microsoft Excel.

   You can make many applications, like forums, "contact-us script", guestbook, and many more,, But I prefer PHP, because ASP needs "windows server hosting to work with, and the most webhosting is using Linux or Unix,,
