It is one and the same thing. It depends on the brand. a company calls its a laptop another calls its a notebook. IBM calls it as a Thinkpad. its just depends on the company.

laptop is a notebook, vice versa....

jus a different name...cuz ppl usually use it on there laps. and people carry it like a notebook (replacement)
same thing. just 2 different words meaning the same thing.
notebooks are generally referred to apple genre and laptops PC genre but technically they are the same.. a portable full-fledged computer.
