Looking for a Beginners Guide to PHP and MySQL?

Hi, I have php and MySQL downloaded and installed, and I have used php and mysql powered scripts for a long while. Now I would like to start learning how to code in php and mysql myself. I have ordered a beginners guide to php and mysql on Amazon, and it will arrive in a few days. In the meantime, I would like to know if there are any good guides on the internet for php/mysql beginners. I have looked over php.net and mysql.com and they seem way too technical. I have also looked through w3schools. Can anyone recommend any more great resources for a beginner? Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it! :)

    About.com is really known for learning things that are complicated in a simple way. I have located PHP on about.com and the url is in the reference box. I would begin with PHP, learning both at one time is way to hard. Who knows, maybe you can be the next famous coder! Post on Hotscripts.com when you make something!
