Is there a big difference between Visual Basic 6.0 and 4.0?

2006-08-02 15:56:08, Category: Programming & Design
Also, if I wrote a program in VB 6.0 student edition, would I be able to use a full functional version of 4.0 to turn that program into its own stand-alone executable file without losing functionality? Thanks.

You won't be able to downgrade a VB6 to a VB4- I believe with vb6 it incorporated a close like OOP to the enviroment, which differentiates it from 4, although you don't have to use the oop.

I agree with stratsandlespauls. Morover there is a huge difference between vb4.0 and vb6.0. especially in database section. You cannot downgrade vb6 to vb4
