go to download.com type partition in the search box then download your choice on some you have to burn the .iso to a cd restart your computer then resize your hard drive and a new partition when installing windows 98 install it on the partition then when starting up you have to operating systems to chose from

You set up XP to perform a dual boot, I had 98 installed, then I purchase XP home, it asked me if I want to keep 98 and use a new directory for XP. Now I have both 98 and XP When the PC starts up, it asks me if I want to use 98 or XP. You cannot run both at the same time, but at bootup I have an option to select either or.

You can create a dual boot installation with Windows 98 and XP over that. However, since you're asking how to do it, you are probably not very well versed in creating double boot systems. I'd advise you to take Professional help, rather than depend on amateur advise from a Forum like this, because you can screw up your system beyond repair by making a mistake in this. I'm a Professional who has seen enough of DIY hashed up jobs done with amateur advise from Forums like these; so, I know what I'm talking about. It'll cost you a lot more if you go this route. Cheers

easist way is....goto Microsoft website and download Virtual PC, it's free now. Install it. Then you can install Win98 or anything else onto VirtualPC, and it will run on top of XP (together). It'll be slow if you have low mem and old PC but if you're using it just for converting files, it's fast enough. The dual boot thing people are talking about wont work becasue XP uses ntfs file system which is incompatible with 98, unless you go through a lot of work splitting the hard drive. Your Corel should save the file same, there's something else going on.

As far as I know you may install different OS on your machine. Then what will happen you will be prompted when you start to choose the OS you wish to run

You would need to install Windows 98 first, then install Windows XP as a second operating system so that you have a dual boot option
