Is there any freeware video editor for the pc? i am currently using windows movie maker and i find it kinda limited.

I don't recall offhand which, but I'd recommend searching at the following sites:
download.com
filehippo.com
There are many others, but those two at least I know are spyware-free (while some downloads are ad-supported, at least they identify them). Search for what you're looking for (and at download.com, choose the free option in license types)...hopefully you'll find something, if only even in a trial version to see if it's worth the effort. I'm sure there are programs to do what you want-you just need to know where to search for them.
I just read the last answers...virtual dub is a good program, and worth a try (I really had no use for it, so I didn't keep it, nor did I remember it)...it does a lot of things, and does them well...

Not really anything worthwhile. Try looking on versiontracker.com or something, but I'd reccomend buying, or, er, borrowing something like Final Cut Pro from the internet.
