I do not have access to any GUI. I can only access the Database in which the Portal schemas are stored. I am using Oracle 817 database with Oracle 9iAS portal and Discoverer with Forms 6

This information is likely under the 9iAS home. Sometimes the information is in hidden files so look out for those if you are on a UNIX platform. Also check out metalink.oracle.com (you need a CSI number and email to register, but I'm sure your question has been answered there). Or check technet.oracle.com. You know what, I did a cursory check on metalink and it appears this information would typically be supplied by your administrator, but I would suggest that you try to find the directory pls/pls30 under your installation directories. If this information is stored in the database it may be encrypted. Have a look at the file regapp.sql and see where it stores the information that you are looking for (it takes this information as input)
