I would suggest you go the way of BitTorrent. For that you download the program, and connect to a website that keeps "trackers". You can use the program with many different websites, so if one goes down, you don't have to download another program. BitTorrent is the one download you will ever need. There are different ones, like: Azureus, BitComet, BitTorrent (the original), among many others.
After you download the BitTorrent client, just connect to a website like: The Pirate Bay, mininova, or IsoHunt.
If one site goes down, just find another website. No more worries.
