or can i buy a product of reasonable pricing to put my music on and still apply it to my computer. please only people who know about computer anwser. no fools PLEASE!!!! PLEASE STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS.

    Buy an iPOD. it can be used as an external drive, and you can take all your music with you when you leave. use Sharepod instead of iTUNES if you do it though. If not do as they say and get a external HDD. www.pricewatch.com has large drives at really good prices, and nowdays they are almost a nessecity (mispelled i know)

    One of my computer geek friends told me to file it & move it to a different drive. the majority of your stuff should be on "c" drive. I never did get a chance to try it, my computer crashed so I had to do a complete system restore. All my music was lost & I had to start over!

    Presumably you mean storage as opposed to memory. Assuming this is true, try searching the internet for prices on a "USB external hard drive". They're idiot proof, and any "step-by-step instructions" will depend on the product you choose, and will be provided anyways. Rawlyn. p.s. Don't buy an iPod unless you have money to burn. If you're going to go the portable media player route there are cheaper and better alternatives out there!
