Is Green The way to Go when it comes to powering a building that is non-profit?

I am big into going green and helping us all breathe better, I am working for the Meridian epicenter that is located in Azle tx. www.themeridianepicenter.org if you want to know more. But with all that we are looking at using to power this building is there other ways we are overlooking? I know there is more technoligy out there that we are not looking at. Please help!!!!!!

    photoelectric power (solar power), aeolian power (wind), or hydroelectric power (water), are all free and clean sources of power (free after they are originally installed that is, which can be quite costly). Depending on the resources in the area, one way might be better than another. Photoelectric power cells are not bulky and can be hidden, but they don't nearly provide as much power as the two other alternatives. They are also not reliable on an everyday basis, unless ur area is sunny year-round. Aeolian power can make for a fairly ugly sight. They are also not reliable on a daily basis, unless it winds fairly heavily year-round. Hydroelectric is reliable, because there's not much chance of running out of water. The conditions needed for a good hydroelectric power station is not easy to satisfy though. P.S. I think ur question is in the wrong section

    Non-profit organizations (and most for-profit organizations, too!) have to watch costs when they power a building. I'm not saying that green is always more expensive, but some technologies require a substantial investment up front. Best bet is to hire an architect that has experience with "green" projects, and see what he or she can suggest.
